The Virtual Soldier Research (VSR) Program at The University of Iowa is
pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 2005 SAE Digital Human
Modeling Conference in Iowa City, IA. This is the premiere
most prestigious conference of its kind in the nation that is attended by
researchers, practitioners, and executives interested in the field from
around the world. The Call for Papers is below. Paper
submissions are encouraged from industry partners who are interested in
ergonomics, human factors, human modeling and simulation, motion capture,
and many other related topics. The Conference will have a full
program for participants and their families.
2005 Digital Human Modeling Call for Papers/Presentations
Digital Human Modeling for Design and Engineering Symposium
June 14-16, 2005
Sheraton Hotel Conference Center, Iowa City, Iowa
The eighth annual Digital Human Modeling for Design & Engineering Symposium (DHM) will be held June 14-16, 2005. The conference will be administered by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) with primary support coming from SAE?s Human Modeling and G-13 Committee on Human Modeling Technology and Standards.
The conference will provide an international forum for the exchange of new and significant technical information about the development and application of digital human models. In addition, the event will provide an environment for critical discussion and sharing of information among industry users and developers of digital human models. Papers from international organizations are welcome and encouraged.
The Program Committee will accept abstracts through October 27, 2004.

Authors who wish to contribute a paper must submit an abstract of approximately 300 words for consideration, including paper title, author(s) name, mailing address, telephone, fax numbers and email addresses. On-line submission is preferred. Conference Organizers are interested in expanding the conference topics; new applications and topics are welcome.
