[compgeom-announce] Workshop "Algorithms for Complex Shapes" in Berlin, May 9-11

ACS General Project Workshop "Algorithms for Complex Shapes"
May 9-11, 2007, FU Berlin, Germany

General:
Workshop topics include shape approximation (including meshing and
simplification), shape learning (including reconstruction and feature
extraction), as well as robust modeling (including Boolean operations),
with a focus on algorithms with certified results (topology, numerics).

Featured talks:
  * Martin Held (Salzburg): Approximation by circular arcs
  * Tobias Rausch, David Weese (FU Berlin):
Design issues of the SeqAn library for biological sequence analysis
  * John Sullivan (TU Berlin): Discrete differential geometry

This workshop is organized within the EU-funded "ACS" project
(http://acs.cs.rug.nl/) and is intended to promote the interaction
between the project members and the further scientific community.

Registration fee: 60 Euro.
