POSTDOC IN COMPUTATIONAL GEOMETRY AND TOPOLOGY

The GIPSA laboratory is offering a one-year postdoc position
in the area of computational geometry and topology, to begin
September or October 1, 2007 with a possibility for extension
to a second year. The goal of this postdoc position is to
develop mathematical representations and computational tools
for manipulating and analysing geometrical shapes. In particular,
we are interested in extracting shapes from the data, in 
simplifying shapes geometrically and topologically using
persistence diagrams, in comparing shapes and fitting them
together.

Candidates should have a PhD in computer science or mathematics,
an experience in computational geometry, and publications in
international journals and conferences, within the indicated areas.
