---------------------------------------------------

ACM Solid and Physical Modeling Symposium 2008 (SPM'08) will be held
on June 2-4, 2008, in Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York,
USA.

This highly successful conference series have been a primary venue for
disseminating research results and exchanging new ideas in geometric
and solid modeling, physical modeling, geometric design, analysis,
simulation and processing, shape computing and visualization, and
various applications. SPM'08 will be immediately followed by the
International Conference on Shape Modeling and Applications 2008
(SMI'08), to be held in Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York,
USA, on June 4-6, 2008. Both SPM'08 and SMI'08 events will be
co-located in Stony Brook, and are part of the 2008 Stony Brook
Modeling Week that features International Joint Convention on Shapes
and Solids (ICSS'08). Stony Brook Modeling Week will be hosted by the
Center for Visual Computing (CVC) and Computer Science Department of
Stony Brook University and will be chaired by Professor Hong Qin.

Close by the picturesque, historic villages of Stony Brook and Port
Jefferson at the geographic midpoint of New York's Long Island, Stony
Brook University is located on the north shore of Long Island. It is
only a short distance to New York City (about 55 miles east of
Manhattan), the beautiful beaches at Fire Island, the elegant resorts
of the Hamptons, and the vineyards of the East End. The
internationally recognized research facilities of Brookhaven National
Laboratory and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory are nearby. Stony Brook
can be easily accessed via New York's major international airports
(JFK Airport and LaGuardia Airport are only 45 miles from Stony Brook)
and Long Island's MacArthur Airport. Conference attendees can also
travel to Stony Brook University from New York City via Long Island
Rail Road.

More information about these two conferences will be available soon!
