[compgeom-announce] SOCG2007 Business meeting in June 6 - call for agenda items

Dear Members of the Computational Geometry Community,

the annual SoCG business meeting will be held on Wednesday,
June 6, at 5:15pm. Please let me know if you have announcements
or discussion items to raise at the meeting, in particular,
if you want to bid for SoCG in 2009.

Besides the usual items (reports on current and
preview of upcoming SoCG), two issues have already been raised:

- how to improve the quality of the review process,
and ensure a broad coverage of topics.
(in particular, by trying a one-shot "rebuttal" phase
where authors can respond to the criticism of reviewers.
A procedure like this is used for SIGGRAPH.)

- whether, in the long run, we want to continue with ACM sponsorship
(as is currently the case for most SOCG's) or whether we try to build
up our own alternative structure that would be able to run SOCG in
cooperation with ACM.
