Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position at the
level of Assistant Professor, in the School of Computer Science at
Carleton University. We are interested in candidates with expertise in
the area of Computer Game Development. Applications are accepted at
any time and the recruitment process will continue until the position
is filled.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence and
commitment in both teaching and research; will be expected to develop
a strong externally funded research program, supervise students, and
develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
The School has 27 full-time faculty members with particular research
strengths in software engineering, networks, object-oriented
programming, security, high performance computing, and computational
geometry. The School offers both undergraduate honours programs and
graduate programs at the master's and Ph.D. level. Prospective faculty
can look forward to a dynamic research environment in which
collaboration with industry is encouraged. Carleton is located in
Ottawa, the capital of Canada and a major center of advanced

The deadline for applications is November 30, 2007 but applications
will be considered until the position is filled. The start date for
the position is July 1, 2008.
