[compgeom-announce] MeshTrends7 at 10th USNCCM: Second Call for Abstracts

Dear Colleague,

The deadline to submit abstracts to the 10th US National Congress on Computational Mechanics (USNCCM) is approaching (Jan. 31, 2009).  It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the 7th Symposium on Trends in Unstructured Mesh Generation, which will be one of the many symposium at the 10th USNCCM, held July 16-19, 2009 in Columbus, Ohio.  Steve Owen (Sandia), Mark Shephard (RPI) and I will host this symposium which has made a significant contribution to the meshing and geometry technology since its inception over a decade ago. All abstracts related to geometry and mesh generation for computational simulation are welcome. In this symposium we are soliciting, in particular, advancements and trends from academics and industry in the following areas:

Hexahedral/quadrilateral mesh generation
Tetrahedral/triangular mesh generation
Meshing tools and applications
Multiphysics meshing issues
Infrastructure and tools for meshing
Adaptive meshing tools and applications
Meshing and geometry for geophysics applications
Meshing and geometry for biomedical applications
Geometry repair and improvement for mesh generation
Please consider submitting an abstract and joining us in Columbus for this event. Abstracts can be submitted electronically and should be completed before January 31, 2009. A peer reviewed special journal edition of "Engineering With Computers" will also be compiled from selected participating authors of MeshTrends7. We have posted details of the symposium as well as instructions for submission at the following URL:
