CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION

"XIII Spanish Meeting on Computational Geometry". Zaragoza (Spain), 29,30 June,
1 July 2009.


   
The 13th edition of the conference "Spanish Meeting on Computational Geometry
(Encuentros de GeometrÃa Computacional, EGC09)"  will be held between June 29
- July 1 in Zaragoza (Spain).

THE PROCESS OF PAPER SUBMISSION IS NOW OPEN.

Papers can be sent through the conference web page. There, you will find
instructions on preparation and submission of papers. The paper submission
deadline is April 20th, 2009. Other important dates are:

Acceptance notification: April 30th, 2009
Grant applications deadline: May 4th, 2009
Conceded grants notification: May 8th, 2009
Early registration deadline: May 18th, 2009
Beginning of conference: June 29th, 2009


The meeting aims mainly to bring together the spanish-speaking community
working in the area of Discrete and Computational Geometry and to diffuse
recent results obtained. However, english speakers are also encouraged to
attend and would be particularly welcome. Both English and Spanish may be used
freely.

TOPICS

The range of topics that are within the scope of the conference includes (but
is not limited to):

-Combinatorial and Discrete Geometry.
-Applications of Discrete and Computational Geometry (Linear Programming,
Computer Graphics, Virtual Reality, Robotics, Solid Modeling, CAD, Pattern
Recognition, Image Processing, Graph Drawing, SIG, ...).
-Algorithms and complexity of geometric objects.
-Computational techniques and implementation of geometric algorithms.
-Geometric Data Structures.
-Polytopes and Polyhedra.
-Theoretical Fundaments of Computational Geometry.
-Geometric Software.
