[compgeom-announce] SoCG 25th celebration + SoCG 2009 early registration deadline approaching

Please note that the early registration deadline (May 1) for Symposium
on Computational Geometry 2009 is approaching. To register please go to
the conference website www.socg.org/2009. The website also contains the
program of the symposium.

Please also note that the day before the conference (Sunday June 7) the
25th anniversary of Symposium on Computational Geometry will be
celebrated with invited talks on the development of the field during the
last 25 years. The celebration will end with a reception, which also
serves as the welcome reception for the symposium. We are very happy
that David Dobkin (Princeton), Micha Sharir (Tel Aviv), Emo Welzl (ETH
Zurich), and Kurt Mehlhorn (MPI) have agreed to give the invited talks
at the celebration. Please see the symposium website for the celebration
program.

The symposium will be followed (on Wednesday June 11) by the first
Workshop on Massive Data Algorithmics. Please see the workshop website
www.madalgo.au.dk/massive2009 for details.
